Hi Everyone, Paris Central’s Grade 4/5 students visited Park Lane and everyone had a super time meeting up with the seniors there for the first time this school year.
We spent time introducing ourselves, asked interview questions that the students prepared, gave Welcome Cards as gifts, and shared rhyming poems and songs with them while serving snacks and drinks. It was awesome to see the seniors and students interacting so well together with plenty of smiles and laughs!
Here is what some of the students had to say:
Sam liked the smiles and the stories that the seniors told about when they were kids; Zoe enjoyed the snacks and the talking; Emily met Sarah and discovered that she plays the piano; Georgina felt good about the questions and connections she made; Paige found out that the seniors are very generous people; K.C. felt very comfortable listening to stories; Curtis enjoyed writing to the residents; Joey liked serving juice and cookies; and Emma liked talking to Dolly and noticed how quiet the seniors are… Mr. S. Fleet, teacher P.S. We can’t wait till next time… Henry, a resident at Park Lane just loves interacting with us…so does Frank!
